More than its natural scenery, visitors can also enjoy the rich monumental patrimony of this region.

Standing out is the “Cruzeiro de Perrães”, “Largo de São Pedro”, Parochial Museum of “Palhaça”, situated in the ancient church of “São Pedro”, “Oiã’s” church and various parochial churches in the region, that you can also visit.

 

In Oliveira do Bairro you can also walk and  visit the parks the most relevant he “Pateira” park, “Seara” park and “Vieiro” park were you can visit the Farmer Museum.

Region of argillaceous grounds it is very rich on agriculture.

Very appreciated in this region is its handicraft, witch presents us with its work such as hand made baskets, the pilling of flagons, rugs made of ripple materials, cloth pads, ceramics and the famous straw–mats of “brunho”.

 

These straw-mats are made of “brunho”, a type of rush and wood board, picked from the swamps, they measure up to two meters long ad half a meter wide.
